EarthBody Dreaming

A three day workshop in North Norfolk, May 29-31, 2026

A workshop for those wishing to embody more deeply their relationship to the Earth and Nature, and to explore what is needed for the healing and restoration of both our own body and the body of Gaia, our home.

Blickling Lake, Norfolk in winter

We know that we must attend to the well-being of the Earth and all her inhabitants with some urgency, and many of us question ‘what can I do?’ when so much seems to be needed. ‘What part might I play, which issues touch me most deeply and intimately, where is my heart calling me to make changes or take action?’

In this workshop we will take time to connect to our experience of our own body, nurturing our intimate connection with the elements of the Earth – our bones, breath, blood and tissue are made from the same elements, we are part of her, she is within us. Deepening our sense of Interbeing with Earth and Nature, we may discover resources and healing.

We will then explore the physical symptoms which are calling for our attention through body meditations, somatic movement and Authentic Movement; and we will reflect on the stories unfolding in the world which touch us, anger us, hurt us, concern us the most. Is there a connection, a mirroring that embeds our personal issues intimately within the web of life? What might the Earth be asking us to awaken to?

Listening to the messages within our body symptoms, we might learn something about the steps that are needed, and that we are ready to take, towards the healing and restoration of our world in these troubled times. And listening to the Earth and the more-than-human world, we may learn something about what we need for our personal healing too.

If you care deeply about moving towards greater personal and planetary health, well-being and consciousness, and the process of embodiment appeals to you as a way to deepen awareness to what is within you and also around you, this workshop might be for you. Previous experience of some form of embodied practice, such as somatic movement or bodywork, Authentic Movement, embodied spiritual practice or body-oriented therapy is required (please note that this is not an introductory somatic movement workshop).

Most important is a willingness and readiness to engage in experiential exploration. The workshop will offer a space to explore, research and hopefully discover.

Attention will be given to resourcing and to supporting each participant’s process, but it would be helpful to know that you have support in your life, should difficult feelings arise from the work. We will be working in a small and intimate group of around five people in my garden studio, which is a small space but has an open and spacious feel, surrounded by nature.
